Our students have received a special treat. It was a unique, hands-on opportunity courtesy of the Meridian Police Department. The MPD Mounted Patrol paid a visit to the school and was a hit with the students, faculty, and staff. Click on the attached link to find out what made this visit so special.

The Mississippi Department of Education is teaming up with the Mississippi Department of Health for an anti-vaping contest. The competition is open to students in kindergarten through 12th grades. Poster or video submissions are due by this Friday, May 21st, at 5 PM. Click on the attached link for more details. Good luck!

We want to hear from you. The LCSD is working with the Mississippi Department of Education to gather data on technology access, skills, and the technology environment on each of our campuses. Please take a few minutes to fill out the following survey. The responses will be used to understand the connection between technology use and student achievement. Congratulations to the winners of the WLMS 2021 Science Fair. Rowan Cheatham earned top honors. Paityn Kelly was awarded 2nd Place, and Macy Shirley received 3rd Place honors. Congratulations to these young scholars!
